Since I’ve lived along the Gulf Coast, I’ve enjoyed spending weekends checking out all it has to offer. With my husband being from Orange Beach, he knows well the local hangouts of this quaint beach town. The Wharf is a shopping and dining center located on the Intracoastal Waterway known as the Canal. It has a hotel on the water and an amphitheater where big name musicians bring concerts on a regular basis. Kirk and I have some of our best memories from going to these concerts and eating at the local restaurants there.
With all that said, I just have to mention one of my new favorite places to go in the Wharf. Southern Grind Coffee House. It is the quintessential beach town coffee shop. Decorated in beachy hues and distressed wood, this cute little place also offers a beautiful variety of coastal decor. I have a few pieces in my home and can’t help but browse their selection every time I’m there.
This amazing place also offers a wonderful variety of gelato. And if you’ve never had it, you have to try theirs! Kirk always asks for a white chocolate raspberry milkshake and I drink half of it every. single. time. I hope you can find time to visit the Gulf this year and stop by this quaint little coffee shop in one of my absolute favorite beach towns!
